Heat up the game with these 1 or 2 bite tubs of cucumber filled with spicy crab! Crunchy with a bit a heat, these will bring you to the edge of your seat no matter the score! Fantasy Football…here we come!
- 8 oz. crab meat, drained well and picked over for shell pieces
- 3 long cucumbers
- 1/4 c sour cream
- 1/4 c cream cheese, softened
- 1 – 1-1/2 tsp. hot sauce (to taste)
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. mustard (preferably brown mustard)
- 1 Tbsp. green onion, minced
- Paprika, optional
Remove the peel from the cucumbers using a vegetable peeler. Cut the cucumber into 2 inch slices. Using a small melon baller, scoop out MOST of the inside. You need to leave the walls and a thick potion of the bottom intact as this forms the “tub’.
In a bowl, combine the sour cream and cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Fill each of the cucumber cups with the crab dip. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Dust with paprika if desired, just before serving.
Serve within 2 hours of making.
