Peaches and Cream and More

Peaches…what a wonderful fruit, sweet and juicy, with an aroma like no other. It’s no wonder that a woman’s beautiful complexion is called “peaches and cream”. I love to eat them out of hand, with the juice dripping down my face.

I love them with sweet cream or a dusting of powdered sugar, in a pie, but best of all in a recipe I found from Dori Sanders of Filbert, South Carolina. She and her family worked a farm for 3 generations and she still works a fruit stand today. She is a published author of a best selling novel and a cookbook, Dori Sanders’ Country Cooking…so I wanted to share her Peach Cobbler with you. Serve it warm out of the oven with cream or ice cream and you will believe you are enroute to heaven!
